Sibling rivalry

And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.  And they said, Hath the Lord indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the Lord heard it.
Numbers 12:1-2

There was sibling rivalry within this family. Miriam and Aaron were not happy about their brother's choice of a foreigner as a wife. This led to strife and envy as they started to think Moses was a regular prophet like them and should not be bestowed more honour than them.

Joseph's brothers resisted Joseph because Joseph's dream meant they would all bow down to Joseph. They plotted against Joseph and sold him.

He whom God has blessed no man can curse. God intervened and defended Moses. God revealed himself to other prophets through visions and dreams but for Moses, God spoke with him personally.

We should tread with caution even if we do not agree with the decisions of God's chosen servants. God's servant should also allow God to intervene in matters of this nature.
