Lead like Joseph

Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.

And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities.

And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine.
Genesis 41:34‭-‬36 KJV

This brilliant proposal was approved by Pharaoh and all his servants. Where is your proposal? They considered all the excellent men of their times and only Joseph was qualified for the job. You are called to be excellent and not a mediocre. The Spirit of God in you should make you produce quality results.

It's amazing how some people expect God to favour poor performers over the likes of Joseph. That is definitely not the favour of God to promote mediocrity over excellence.

Joseph was wise and we can learn economic and financial management from his submission. A lot of people start jobs and end up saving nothing but suddenly expect plenty at retirement. You have to pay yourself by saving at least 10 per cent of your income every month and then gradually increase this to 30 percent if you are married. If you're single, your target should be 50 percent.

To be continued...
