God's city

I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the Lord of hosts.

Isaiah 45:13 KJV

God raises us up in righteousness and directs our ways to build his city. God wants to free the captives and bring about a revival in the land. Do not expect a price or reward.

The heroes of faith did not look back instead they looked forward to the city of God. These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. Hebrews 11:13 KJV

The city of God is not about self alone, it's not about price or reward. It's about fulfilling God's purpose. God's purpose is for his kingdom to reign on the earth.
