And he shall be like a tree
planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season;
his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Psalm 1:3 KJV
This picture painted here is how
God intended for man to live right from creation. To be fruitful and multiply.
There is stability and prosperity in whatever we do. The key here is not the prosperity
but whatever you do. Some may overlook the ‘do’ and then try to claim the
prosperity. Sometimes they even wonder why they cannot feel the impact of the prosperity
that is promised. Whatever you do does not mean just doing anything but doing
the right thing that pleases God.
God makes us prosper by giving us
wisdom on what to do at the right time. We all like the idea of a flourishing life
described here but we have to work and trust God. When we follow God we
eventually get to a place of stability where everything flows and we bring
forth fruit at the right season. We are like trees planted by the rivers of
water. There were four headwaters that watered the garden. The preceding verse says we must delight and meditate
on his law daily. There is consistency and purpose.
