What manner of love!

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

1 John 3:1 KJV

God loves us despite our weaknesses and He stopped at nothing to see us reconciled back to him by sending His only Son to die for us. God's love is unconditional but he requires us to love him by doing away with sin. If we love Him as much as He loves us to call us His sons then we can do what he tells us in love and not out of fear or compulsion.
