Proverbs 16:9 KJV
This is a new year and the right time to let the Lord direct your steps even though it may lead you to places you didn't plan for but it will be worth it at the end. You've had it your way all this while but now it's time to let the Lord have his way.
Plan, set goals, have clear vision for your life but let God be involved. God may alter or tweak the plans as you progress but don't get discouraged. God will direct your steps towards the right path when you've missed the way. It may be time for you to come back to the Lord prayerfully so that what used to take longer can now happen in shorter time at the leading of the Spirit. God will open your eyes to hidden things you may have missed all these years.
Start the year hitting the ground running and don't get caught up in the maze of life. God may lead you to do things you've never done or thought about before, embrace it and go through it. God will bring you to an expected end. Some people like things they way they have planned and arranged things only for someone to come and scatter them for no reason. Don't get annoyed as there may be a lesson there for you to see things in a different perspective.
God did not take the Israelites through the shorter route because he saw ahead of them. God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and he sees ahead of us. Let God direct your steps this year and don't insist on doing it only your way.
