Genesis opened with God’s creation of heaven and earth in the beginning. Then unto the creation of all things necessary for man to be fruitful on the earth. God created man in his own image and commanded man to have dominion over every living thing upon the earth.
It’s a New Year and many people around the world are celebrating with family and friends. Of course, you should celebrate too. You should also understand that God made us in his image so that we can also create things on the earth. Creativity is the use of imagination or original ideas to create something. Look around you and there will be something you can create.
It may not be very easy but we surely can be creative since we are created in God’s image. You have to find hidden patterns, connect seemingly unrelated things and generate solutions. Sometimes we have ideas but do not bring them to reality. If we have ideas and do not act on them, we are simply imaginative but not creative. Creativity produces solutions. There is no doubt that God wants us to create. If you have started creating anything, you will understand that you need focus, commitment, perseverance, wisdom and faith. Instead of making numerous New Year resolutions you don’t remember after January, make simple and clear goals. God has given you ideas, go ahead and be creative. God will also give you new strategies where you have had challenges.
