Should I go or should I stay?

And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.
Matthew 2:13

Deciding whether to relocate to another country or not could be a dilemma. It can be a nostalgic moment of life.  However, there can be captivating motives to relocate either permanently or temporarily such as quest for knowledge, lifetime opportunities, religious, safety and more.

Joseph, his wife Mary and their son Jesus had to embark on a journey to Egypt on a very short notice. The planning and preparation was done in one day and this was because the safety of their son was threatened by King Herod. This was a temporary relocation but they had to endure the danger of travelling at night and by road from Israel to Egypt.

If you have decided to relocate for whatever reasons, plan and prepare and move quickly once you have fulfilled the legal requirements. Don’t get caught in the trap where tangible years of life are wasted in futile attempts to travel and nothing meaningful is achieved. The world is big enough for everyone. Most importantly be at peace by seeking God’s approval through prayer. Once you are convinced and at peace there will be no hesitation on your part. Do not forget your motives for relocating so that you do not lose focus. God will be with you there.

Not everyone will relocate no matter how strong the desires are. Make the most of your life where you are. Do not live in despair even if you wish to relocate but there are no opportunities. You can achieve your life purpose and be fulfilled where you are. There are fulfilled dreams and success stories at home and abroad. Your vision is the most important factor as there are challenges everywhere. Build yourself and leverage on all the opportunities God brings your way. Be rest assured that God has the best plan for everyone and will be with you always. You could always have travel plans to see the world and return home. After all there is no place like home.
