Chosen generation

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

1 Peter 2:9 KJV

God has chosen us for this generation as royal priests, holy nation, a peculiar people that we should show forth all the marvellous things God has done for us. God called us out of darkness into his marvellous light. We give him praise. Anyone living in darkness cannot find his way and keeps wandering but he who lives in the light can love a more purposeful and meaningful life.

We have to come into the light and stay in the light and that light is the light of the world, Jesus. Jesus showed us what it means to walk in the light by doing what God wants. We are a blessed generation with great hope in God. We must shine the light into every dark areas and give God praise.
