Romans 10:17 KJV
One receives faith by hearing the word of God. The words are Spirit and life. Faith causes us to do as the Spirit directs hence faith without works is dead. Faith reaches beyond the visible causing hopes to come alive. Apostle James says we should not be hearers only as that achieves nothing but self-deceit instead we should do what the word says. In other words, just having Scriptures in the head and being able to quote them offhand does nothing until it is applied in our daily lives. We must grow from drinking milk to chewing meat.
Faith does not have to accomplish big things at once but in stages. If you want to accomplish great things for God and for nation or self, start small. Everything big has a beginning. We have read about the heroes of faith and feel challenged to do more but we must realize that they kept going despite numerous challenges. The key is to stay focused and to trust in God. It always looks impossible until it is done. If what you're doing seems insignificant at the moment stay strong and keep the momentum. Fan into flame the gift of God within you. Pray and Seek counsel when necessary.
