Wherefore, brethren, look ye
out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom,
whom we may appoint over this business.
Acts 6:3 KJV
When choosing leaders for
any business, there is always extreme caution to select the tight people. When
the early Church wanted to select seven men that will handle administrative
issues, they had criteria such as honesty, being filled with the Holy Spirit
and wisdom. Those who met these criteria will then be chosen as leaders within
the Church.
These criteria also apply to
any business. Choosing the right team is very critical to success of the
business. If you are running a business, you cannot afford to hire based on
emotions. If you are looking for contract or a job, you cannot expect to be
selected based on emotions.
Leaders need to have values
along with the skills they possess. You need to be filled with the Holy Spirit
and wisdom. Being filled with the Holy Spirit alone was not sufficient, you
need to be wise and to demonstrate wisdom. Wisdom is defined as the quality of
having experience, knowledge, and good judgement; the quality of being wise.
Wisdom is also the fact of being based on sensible or wise thinking. In all
your getting, get understanding.
