Love and rebuke

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Revelation 3:19 KJV

Nobody likes to be rebuked but without rebuke we really do not leave our comfort zones to grow into what we should be. If you rebuke a child, the child feels hurt and will not play with you again. Will you allow the fear of rejection stop you from correcting the child? I don't think so unless you really do not love the child. We are God's children and sometimes do not like to be rebuked by our heavenly Father simply because we feel hurt. Do you think God gives up on us? No, as many as he loves, he rebukes and chastens.

Discipline is what separates those who accomplish more and sets them apart. For you to become great at any endeavour, you must undergo discipline. When rebuked,  learn the lesson. Be zealous to learn by turning from what you have done before. That's true repentance. Know that God rebukes us in love and not out of anger or frustration. He is eagerly waiting for our manifestation as sons of God. What son is not disciplined by his father?
