2 Corinthians 3:6 KJV
Be ministers of the spirit and not of the letter for the letter kills but the spirit gives life. If you follow the letter, the woman caught in adultery would have been stoned but Jesus gave her life. God did not send Jesus to condemn the world but to save the world through him. Just following the letter is a matter of legalistic righteousness but applying Grace is life by the spirit.
To be ministers of the new testament does not condemn the old testament. Jesus did not abolish the law but fulfilled it. Jesus has become our righteousness for his blood is the atoning sacrifice for our sins. Live by the spirit and not by the letter. Be filled with the Holy Spirit.
