In those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples unto him, and saith unto them,
I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat:
And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for divers of them came from far.
Mark 8:1-3 KJV
It was a power packed conference that left people who attended physically hungry and Jesus understood that they may faint on their way home because some of them had come from far. Jesus had compassion on them and decided to ask his disciples who were equally hungry to find food for a large crowd.
Jesus had compassion on us too for he sees our plight and wants to intervene to solve our fail challenges. God is not always angry and issuing threats to his people. He does not send is away but longs to meet our needs. We hunger and thirst for righteousness and God is pleased to fill our stomachs too!
We often complain about what we do not have but the little we have we can share with someone truly in need. It pleases God when we are concerned about others and not just self. National transformation is as important as personal transformation. When the land is blessed everyone enjoys the blessings of that land but when we seekonly personal blessing at the expense of others then there's chaos. If you want to get rich or be successful then let others also succeed, it does not reduce your success but makes you even more successful. A candle loses nothing by lighting other candles.
